As a graduate of Wilmington University and successful entrepreneur, Melanie D. Wilson, also armed with 19 years of teaching experience, brings a new dynamic to the Business Coaching Industry. Melanie has filled numerous professional roles prior to pursuing her entrepreneurial dreams at which time she founded and operated a school of equine studies. Throughout her professional career, Melanie has held management positions in payroll, human resources, accounting, marketing, business development, operations and even served as the VP for a large mechanical contracting firm; but, the height of her career was reached when she opened her school of equine studies in Oxford, PA. As the founder of this unique program, Melanie performed all the typical roles of a business owner while mastering the art of process development that ultimately became the foundation for the program. Processes were not only used for the execution of the training, but also to provide direction to all clients as to how to start and run a successful business of their own. Students were coached thru a process that included the following:
- Technical aspect of the discipline being studied
- Business planning
- Strategic planning
- Strategic selling
- Market analysis
- Marketing, including layout and design of all business materials
- Legal, accounting and licensing
- Short term and long term goal setting
Melanie, as an inspiration to the local equine community, was also sought out by a local college as an industry expert and ultimately ended up creating a college accredited equine program in which Melanie was directly responsible for the development of the curriculum. Melanie was also responsible for the selection and training of the course instructors and was an instructor herself.
Sadly, in 2007, Melanie was forced to undergo major back surgery and had to give up her dream in the equine industry.
Now, fully recovered, Melanie is energized by the opportunity to give back to the business community that has blessed her life in so many ways. The multitude of experiences, challenges and hurtles have enabled a tremendous amount of personal and professional growth that can now be shared with all members of the business community. As a remarkable leader and motivator, Melanie is sure to have a Positive Impact on the professional and personal lives of business owners, professionals and executives just like you.
